My guest on this podcast is Craig Caudill. Craig is Director and Lead Instructor of Nature Reliance School, based in his native Kentucky, USA.

Craig has taught backcountry skills to a varied audience for many years, as well as writing on the topics that fall under this umbrella for a wide range of publications. Further, to date, he is the author of eight books.

Craig and I have not had the opportunity to meet in person yet, but we have communicated over the course of quite a few years now. We’ve been talking about recording a podcast together for a good while and it’s great that we’ve finally found time to do so.

In fact we have recorded a couple this year – Craig interviewed me for his podcast earlier in the year and, of course, we recently recorded the conversation in this episode of the Paul Kirtley Podcast.

Craig and I share some similar philosophies and it was great to riff on these a bit in this episode…

Hi Paul, great podcast, for some reason it’s not appearing on your podcast on Apple.
Also I can’t see the link to the interview by Craig on his podcast?

Hi David, thanks for your comments. I’m glad you enjoyed the podcast with Craig. I’ve checked the feed and the episode is there but Apple has not yet picked it up. It normally takes up to a day after I publish the episode but two weeks is too long. There is an issue and I will contact Apple support if I can’t figure out what it is.

As for the episode where Craig interviews me, the link is above but here it is explicitly – https://open.spotify.com/episode/5CZPxmkaNBjEGbVzjE0fI9?si=83d6f7b2dd8d428c&nd=1&dlsi=67697c1f680b42e8

I hope you enjoy that conversation too 🙂

      Warm regards,

      Paul

Really interesting conversation. I’ve added Craig’s back catalogue to my Christmas list. Especially the children’s book for my son!
