But remember if you want to ask a question for a future episode, don’t do this in the comments below, do it in one of the ways explained HERE.

What Is #AskPaulKirtley?

#AskPaulKirtley is my Q&A video and podcast series that aims to answer your questions about bushcraft, survival skills and outdoor life.

The idea here is partly to take the strain off my email inbox and get answers out to people in a more timely fashion.

Rather than send an answer to just that one person, I’d like others to benefit from the answers too. So, just in the same way I’d previously write an email answer, here I’m going to speak the answer (which is much quicker than me typing out an answer, so I’ll get more questions answered as well as benefiting more people).

    Hi Paul,

I just thought I’d let you know that when playing your videos from your website pages, there’s an option (under the ‘Settings’ cog in the bottom right-hand corner of the video screen) to allow you to change the play ‘Speed’ – fingers crossed it might just be this setting that people experiencing videos playing quickly need to adjust (back to ‘normal’ speed, instead of x1.25, x1.5 or x2 speed). Hope this is helpful to you & to others out there.

Hi Jo, thanks for this reminder. Yes, I did know this but others might not, so always good to point it out. I believe, however, it was the audio-only files that a couple of people had some issues with. That could also be player speed too, though.

      All the best,

      Paul

Paul Hi I’m constantly lurking on your platforms and enjoy you as ever. Agree about in tools in context and have become a regular user of a Tramontina 18 inch machete. I use mine for clearing under electric fences and that was back breaking until i found out about the “stick”…..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zoTfoZJMUg
